Julie is amazing, I honestly can’t rave about her enough. She is so easy going and makes you feel completely comfortable the whole shoot. She loves her job and you can just tell by the quality of her photos!
We originally had decided to hire a photographer closer to our out of province wedding, and hire someone local just for engagement photos. But the minute we saw our engagement photos from Julie, we knew we would forever regret not having her for our wedding as well!

When I saw my photos for the first time it was hard to believe that it was me and my husband in them, the photos look like they belong in a magazine. As I look through them today, 7 months later, I feel like I'm re-living my wedding all over again. Julie captured every special moment. You really don't know how special your wedding photos are until some time as passed. Being able to look at the photos and feel the happiness from your wedding day all over again is an amazing thing.

Not only is Julie a magnificent photographer but a wonderful person too. She consulted with us in person and it was so enjoyable to work with her. When we received our wedding gallery back, we were simply blown away! The lighting, the framing, the focus and eye for detail was incredible!! Some photos even brought me to happy tears which is unusual for me!
Her second shooter, Kim, was fantastic too! Talent, skill, high end equipment, art, and professionalism. We were happy to experience all of those things from Julie MacKinnon Photography!

Julie did an amazing job on our newborn and family photos. She came to our house and spent almost three hours patiently getting authentic pictures of our family. She was so patient with our three year old and lovely to work with. When I saw the pictures she captured it moved me to tears. I was especially emotional when looking at the pictures of me nursing. They even made my dad teary too.
Her photos are so much nicer than staged family pictures. I think that's what makes them so beautiful, their authenticity. Not to mention, lovely composition and a real artist's touch. We are so very happy with the moments Julie captured!
