The first few weeks are such a busy time, but there is a certain type of quiet in a home with a newborn baby. It’s as if the world is silent for the first few weeks as parents focus on the tiny human who has changed their entire world.

Everyone runs on baby’s schedule, and there are no “to do” lists, just cuddles. No where to rush off to, just a bit of quiet, a temporary pause, before life takes off again. It’s a joy and an honour to be welcomed into my clients home to experience this time with them. To share in these moments helps me remember my quiet, not so long ago. As babies grow into kids, and kids grow into teenagers, my goal during every newborn lifestyle session is to capture this quiet. To give each mother and father their quiet to relive again someday.
