When I first met Hannah we talked all things wedding photography, and we were both pumped up discussing the details of their wedding day. (It’s going to be AMAZING!!!) When it came time to talk engagement photos it was a resounding “no way”. On top of being self proclaimed “not picture people”, they both already had a hate on for fake, standing in a park, posing and kissing, kind of engagement sessions. You know the ones. Not to say there is anything wrong with them… hey… if you are the type of person to get glammed up and head to the park for a vogue style shoot that’s great! Seriously, it’s fun if you are enjoying it. But if you’re not… you’re going to have a bad time.
So what’s a photographer to do? No way I’m heading into a wedding day with two complete strangers (to me) who say they don’t like being in photos… just NO. Enter the casual at home engagement session. I showed Hannah another in home session I had recently shot, and she was sold. Chill out, play some video games, eat breakfast for dinner, Lance was sold on photography too. We had a great time shooting, hanging out and getting to know each other… and now that we are no longer strangers, bring on the wedding day!
Now booking 2018 wedding dates and all the engagement love sessions… whatever that looks like for you. Send me an email and let’s chat about a personalized session to celebrate your uniqueness.
