Banff Wedding Photographers | Banff Wedding Inspiration
I wanted to share my thoughts on life as Banff wedding photographers, photography style, my style specifically, how this year I have found my voice. But the truth is… I’ve poured my heart and soul into every image I’ve made this year, and into my business, and now there are no words left. So rather than wait for the perfect words, here is some Banff wedding inspiration, made in a beautiful place, and the story of how it happened.
Banff Wedding Photographers
The first time I met Stacy was actually at a workshop. She was there sharing her knowledge of all things wedding styling and, as important, Instagram… which was basically another language at the time. So I listened and learned, and more importantly was inspired. When she mentioned her newest venture, a Fine art workshop for Banff wedding photographers, I knew it would be beautiful, but didn’t know I would find such a sense of community that is hard to find in a competitive industry.
Relaxing in the Mountains
Sitting in the shade at the base of the Rocky Mountains with a group of Banff wedding photographers, on an amazing summer afternoon we chatted about all things wedding style, photography and more. Sharing this space with 15 other Banff wedding photographers and soaking in the day before we got off to our shoots, I wondered how the day would go.
Leaving the first location it was obvious there was no competition between Banff wedding photographers here. No business. Just a group of artists who share a passion and a vision. Throughout the day I met, and worked along some of the kindest, most talented photographers, and the energy started to build in the group. By the end of the day it felt as though we had all bonded over this experience and we left with beautiful images, new friends and full hearts. I can’t wait to do it all again in just a few weeks, at the beautiful Banff Springs Hotel!
Searching for your wedding photographer, send me a note and let’s meet for a coffee or wine, my treat!
From designer Stacey Foley of JoyFoley Weddings: “Summer. That time of year when the sun shines perfectly, the fruit is at it’s sweetest and the days are long and warm. Inspired by the soft colors of a sunset and the sky before a refreshing rainfall this editorial was created with a peach and grey color palette.
The beautiful dress was custom made for us by designer Caroline Kohler of Sweet Caroline. The grey skirt to mimic the color of the sky when rain clouds first blow in and cool down the day. Perfectly accessorized with the Phelan comb from Naturae Design this look was completed with exquisite hair and makeup by Blush & COCO.
Our tablescape was inspired by the colors, smells and tastes of summer. My visions were perfectly brought to life with florals from Fern & Frond, stationery by Art & Alexander and beautiful rentals from Gathered Table Supply, Special Event Rentals and Party Crush Studio.
Everything was captured and brought to life on the other of the lens by our talented Lead Photographer and Instructor, David Heidrich of Heidrich Photography. David’s ability to capture emotion and beauty is both graceful and timeless.” Check out David’s images, and the rest of the crew’s on the Joy Wed blog.
Here’s the team that made it happen. After you’re finished sending me a note, check them out for some wedding inspo.
