We often hear “these look like they belong in a magazine” when couples see their images, and it’s true! We are proud to have had our work featured in these magazines and style blogs.
So you’re looking for a photographer, or a videographer, or maybe both? There is something big going on in your life. Maybe you said yes to spending the rest of your life with your soul mate? You’re excited and want to remember exactly how this feels. You’re a free spirit, an adventurous soul, and you aren’t afraid to let go of tradition to create your own experience. You value the art of photography. You feel connected to your experiences by looking through your photos. You want to look at your photos and remember what it felt like to be there. Have memories come rolling back like waves. The sights, the sounds, the smells, the air that day, the chaos, the quiet, all of it. It’s not just a picture for you, it’s your history; your photo biography.
And since you’re here right now, I’m guessing you’re looking for the right person to help you tell your story, for you, and for the future.
We are Julie and Rob. A photo and video team working together to tell your story. Your history needs to be documented, and you deserve your photos and video to look like they were created by the same person. We couldn’t agree more. We have crafted our style to create consistency for our clients, and we continue to invest a considerable amount of time, effort and passion into bettering ourselves to create even better photos and videos for you. When you trust us to capture your love, we aren’t just showing up to another day of work. We invest in every couple we work with. Getting to know you and your vision helps up to capture you in an authentic way. It’s all about who you are, and we will learn the best way to capture it.
We’ve had the honour to experience many unique weddings, and we would love to share our knowledge with you. From perfect summer weather, to freezing Canadian winters; weddings that are on schedule, and days that run behind; we help our couples plan for the worst so they can expect the best. We’ve captured weddings in many styles of venues, some beautiful as expected and some requiring technical knowledge and improvisation to troubleshoot tough situations to create stunning imagery. Our goal is for you to feel we are your trusted advisors and friends, rather than just your photographers.
Whether it’s planning for photography on your big day, or planning the best location or activity to create the images you’re dreaming of, every detail is intentional and we know how to make it happen.
Intimate and adventurous weddings aren't just the style we like to photograph, it's who we are. We love intimate weddings so much because we had one too!
We said ‘i do’ in 2012 with 20 of our favourite people during an intimate ceremony on Tulum beach in Mexico. Choosing ourselves over anything else, our dream was to escape tradition and commit our lives together in our own way. We spent the first week of our adventure with our tribe exploring cenotes and ancient ruins, eating street meat (the only way to eat on vacation), sailing catamarans and enjoying as much local culture as we could. Our wedding became so much more than a wedding, it was an experience none of us will ever forget. We made memories, and grew our friendships beyond what we had ever imagined.
We treasure our wedding photos, and every image we created during our adventure, but the one thing we miss is hearing what we said that day; hearing our vows. Being able to look back at our story in motion, and hear exactly what we said and how we said it, is something we will always miss. This is just one of the reasons we are passionate about both photography and cinematography.
Small and adventurous weddings are a part of us. We connect with them; when couples choose themselves over anything else on their wedding day, we are ready to travel the world to document it.
